Wet World @Batu Pahat Village Resort (16 - 18 Dec 2009)

After a year long of work, it's vacation time. Holidaying in Malaysia is never a boring place as there are always new and exciting places to visit. My family visited the following places in Malaysia from 16 -18 Dec 2009 and found the experience exhilarating and relaxing.

Our first stop enroute to Awana Genting is the water theme park at Batu Pahat. The place are mostly frequented by the locals and we were surprised to find ourselves as the only Singaporean there. See link http://touristattractionsinmalaysia.blogspot.com/2008/04/wet-world-batu-pahat-village-resort.html

To get there by car from Singapore, exit NS Highway at Yong Peng (U) Stations, not Yong Peng (S). After paying the tol at Yong Peng, turn right and travel straight towards Batu Pahat. About 5 km away, you will pass through 2 traffic lights. On the second traffic lights, turn left. You will also see a road signage "Tongkah Peccah" and "Batu Pahat". Proceed straight until you see the Water theme park signage on the right. Turn into the park and drive all the way in. The theme park is there.

Cameron Highland At Pahang, West Malaysia (2002)

Cameron Highlands was found in 1885 by William Cameron which was eventually have the area named in his honour. William Cameron was on an expedition sent by the British government. The plateau he found is at an altitude of ~6000ft (1,800m) above sea-level and the temperature falls between 8°C and 25°C. It was not fully developed until 1925 that it was then proposed by Sir George Maxwell as a hill resort. It has since become a very popular resort among Malaysians and overseas tourist as well.

Cameron Highlands comprises of several towns which include Brinchang, Tanah Rata, Ringlet, Kampung Raja and Tringkap. Brinchang and Tanah Rata are famous for accommodations, food and facilities. The most sought after food is the steam boat which makes it superb in a cool climate, especially in the evening.

Sight attractions that draw many visitors to Cameron Highland are as follows:-

Tea Plantations

Strawberry Farm

Waterfalls

Flower Nurseries

Butterfly Garden

Cactus Valley

Vegetables Farm

Markets
